The Detlefsen Graduate Field Study Travel Award

Eligibility and details

Must be registered as a Master or Ph.D. student in Texas State's Geography Department. Use funds for field and archival research (not for attendance at academic meetings, workshops, training, or language acquisition). Must have a clear field research proposal narrative, proposed budget (capped at $1,500), C.V. and letter of support from advisor. Previous Field Study Award recipients are ineligible (except Master's winners may apply for Ph.D. level). An Advisor Letter of Support must be sent directly to the Scholarship and Awards Committee Chair (Dr. Blue: sblue@txstate.edu).
